To the Editor:

I am writing in support of Ed Schierloh for selectman. Ed has the ability to examine and rapidly learn almost any subject. He dedicates 100% of his efforts into anything he commits to. Some of Ed’s accomplishments are:

*US Navy chief petty officer retired, 30 years active and reserve service, including serving in 2009-2010 Operation Iraqi Freedom working with US and coalition forces as a Navy Seebee.

*Started his own plumbing and heating business.

*Served as a church trustee for 20 years.

*Worked as a safety coordinator for large mechanical contractor.

*Holds multiple licenses in the safety and construction fields.

Ed believes in leading by example. His business experience plus his ability to work with others make him well qualified to serve on the Board of Selectmen. Having just recently moved from Newtown I am sad to not have the opportunity to vote for Ed, but please join me in his well-deserved support.
