To the Editor:

I am excited to state my support for Chandravir Ahuja for Board of Finance.

I was delighted to see that Chand was appointed to the BOF to fill a vacancy and I knew they had chosen the right person for the job. I had the pleasure of working with Chand on a town committee recently and was truly appreciative of the way Chand let the data guide his decisions.

His contributions to committee were well thought out and relevant.

Of some importance to me was the fact that I had no idea what Mr Ahuja’s political affiliation was — as the BOF is a nonpolitical board, Chand’s current (and hopefully future) presence on the board gives me confidence that decisions will be made based on the facts.

His current role in business also gives me confidence that he will understand the issues and be able to interpret the sometime complex information provided to the BOF. To be honest, I am delighted by the fact that there is more diversity present in our government.

I ask that my fellow Newtowners cast the ballot for Chandravir Ahuja for Board of Finance this November.
