2021 Halloween Walk Planned For Sandy Hook Center
The Sandy Hook Organization for Prosperity (SHOP) is planning its 2021 Halloween Walk for Saturday, October 23, from 11 am to 2 pm, in Sandy Hook Center. This fun, kid-friendly, fully outdoor event will go on rain or shine.
The event offers participants a chance to display their costumes and collect goodies as they visit the participating businesses in the village.
The seasonal event was introduced in 2011 and ran for nine consecutive years. It was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
SHOP Event Coordinator Maribeth Hemingway said she and other SHOP members “are excited to host the … family-friendly event.”
PJ’s Laundromat Sharon Doherty owner agreed, saying, “My fellow Sandy Hook merchants and I look forward to seeing all the costumed visitors.”
The business district where the walk takes place is Church Hill Road, Glen Road, Riverside Road, and Washington Avenue.
