Reacquainted With Newtown

To the Editor:

I write first to thank all who voted, particularly those who voted for me. I can sincerely state that the best part of the campaign was getting to know better Newtown’s beautiful areas and friendly people.

I write, also, to thank my opponent, Tim Holian, who I only narrowly defeated. Tim has been and will remain a great friend to my husband and me. He waged a hard-fought but clean campaign. He was as gracious and dignified in this regard as I have always known him to be in all aspects of his life.

I look forward to working with recently retired Judge Margot Hall (who has kindly offered her assistance), and the Probate Court Administrator’s office, to quickly get briefed so I can begin serving the people of Newtown. I welcome your support also, and invite you to visit the court in the new municipal office center at Fairfield Hills.
