Cheer Squad  Second In State

Newtown’s D11 cheerleading team earned second place at the American Youth Cheerleading Championships at New Haven Field House on November 1.

The team advanced to the regional competition to be held later this month. Team members are: Student demonstrators Cat Sherman and Erin Dlouhy, and cheerleaders Annika Alexander, Lexi Barra, Julia Bogdanoff, Elizabeth Calabrese, Caroline Caporale, Gillian Chanko, Calista Connors, Cassidy Datin, Rian Frate, Kaitlyn Hull, Lauren Keenan, Erin Kelly, Carly Kreshpan, Mallory LoBuglio, Hannah Luby, Maddie Manfredonia, Kamdynn Moroney, Allie Muzzio, Sammie Olah, Kayla O’Sullivan, Taylor Pare, Michaela Richmond, Jane Ricketts, Isabelle Silver, Amanda Solomon, Brianna Straiton, Grace Walter, Caitlin White, and team mascot Allie Luby. Head coaches are Liz Bogdanoff and Julie Luby and the assistant coach is Amy Pare.
