Neal Arnold O’Neil, age 59, of Sandy Hook, passed away on June 23. He was a 7th Dan Master Belt in Tang Soo Do and traveled all over the world competing. Neal also enjoyed teaching Tang Soo Doo and spending time with his wife and family, and was a kind soul to all who knew him.

Neal is survived by his two children, Kacy Caterson and her husband, Mike, of Newtown, and Dan Foehrenbach of New Milford; a granddaughter, Kailey Caterson; two brothers, John of Morris and Bob of Bethel; and his sister, Lynn Covlasky, of Emmonak, Alaska.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa, and parents, Jack and Alma.

Calling hours will be held at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, on Tuesday, June 29, from 5 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Wednesday, June 30, in St Rose of Lima Church.
