To the Editor:

This past Friday night I watched the [Newtown High School] Godspell musical live stream. It gave me so much joy. I laughed, shed tears, and it brought back fond memories, as this was the play performed during my high school years at Masuk. This year’s freshman and sophomore class did a phenomenal job [with] all the extra restrictions and challenges. It was beautifully performed with so much passion.

In these extraordinarily challenging times of keeping life as the most precious gift we are all given, I believe Godspell’s message is to try to be your best person where we can live, grow in faith, show love, and respect one another.

Best wishes to all who were part of the show to continue your talents and dreams and never forget to spread love and kindness to others.

I am looking forward to watching the next performance on June 6, The Mystery of Edwin Drood.
