Hard And Harder To Believe
To the Editor:
I find it hard to believe that a major political party in this country would work hard to make it difficult for us to vote. You would think that the political establishment would work hard to make voting even easier than it currently is. I find it even harder to believe that so many people in this country seem willing let them get away with it. I also find it hard to believe that a major political party in this country would take a policy position of absolute obstruction.
If we wind up acceding to that position, it will more than likely result in rendering this country to living with a weak infrastructure, a reduced ability to influence world events, a quality of life devoid of any hope of improvement, and a constant round of bickering over issues of relatively minor importance. The divisive nature of these initiatives on the part of one political party, as well as a few of those of our second major political party, should be obvious to everyone.
Please understand I am not naive as to the reasons for some of what is taking place in the political arena these days. Still, I am hopeful that we will find a way to overcome this divisiveness and move forward once again as a people focused upon the well-being of one another, of other countries, and of our United States of America.
Respectfully,

Please compare CT election laws to GA, FL, etc and redirect your disdain at the ruling party in your beloved home state. Many aspects of the laws here in CT are much more restrictive and ‘obstructionist’!
I don’t understand what is so difficult about going out to vote on Election Day. Do we really need multiple days/hours/weeks just to vote now? I don’t think anyone is being obstructed from voting but I do think people have become lazy and want to be catered too. Not everything needs to be so complicated.
