Police Probing NHS Field Vandalism

Police received a report at about 9:30 am on July 25 that someone had vandalized a rear athletic field at Newtown High School, so they went there to investigate.
The probe indicated that someone had used some type of vehicle to rip up some turf and damage an irrigation system, police said. The damage is estimated at $1,000 in repair value.
Police are investigating and ask anyone with knowledge of who vandalized the property to contact them at the police station at 3 Main Street, telephone 203-426-5841.
