To the Editor:

I am writing today to urge all of my fellow registered Democrats in Newtown to attend the Newtown Democratic Caucus on Tuesday May 24th at 6:30 at Newtown Middle School and join me in enthusiastically endorsing Kyle Lyddy to be our candidate for the 106th District seat in Hartford.

Kyle was born and raised in Newtown, he is a product of the excellent Newtown school system that he continues to support today. Kyle is committed to individualized education concentrating on science and technology with hands-on programs. Kyle also created the "We are Newtown" initiative which provides scholarships to Newtown students pursuing a career in education.

Kyle is also dedicated to supporting small businesses and is always there to lend a hand when we have an event in Sandy Hook to help our local businesses in any way he can.

Kyle will always think about what is best for Newtown first, he will work tirelessly for us in Hartford the same way he has here in town. He is dedicated to making Newtown more affordable for young professionals so we can keep our talented young people local to help build our local economy.

Kyle is a strong advocate of gun violence prevention and will continue to push for common sense gun safety laws.

Kyle is the chairman of the Sandy Hook Permanent Memorial Commission and has led this commission with the same dedication and integrity that he puts into everything he ever undertakes. Kyle Lyddy is an incredible young man, I am proud to call him my friend, and am looking forward to even more proudly calling him my state representative.
