Rita Langenbach, age 79, of Newtown, died from complications of COVID-19 on January 22.

She was born in Lincoln Park, New Jersey, on April 28, 1941 to parents John F. and Leona Langenbach. Rita graduated from Seymour High School in 1959 and from the Stone Business School in 1961. She was a longtime employee of the Southern New England Telephone Company.

During the last 22 years, she was a resident of Nunnawauk Meadows in Newtown, where she had many friends.

Rita is survived by her brother, John J. Langenbach, of West Hartford.

There will be no services at this time.
