The Digital Genealogist At Next Genealogy Club Meeting
The Genealogy Club of Newtown will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, March 11, beginning at 7 pm. It will be at C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street.
There will be a 6:45 help desk in place to assist those with a research problem.
This month’s speaker will be Phillip Hayes, of Sirius Innovations. Mr Hayes, a resident of Monroe, calls himself “The Digital Genealogist.” The subject of his presentation will be “Making the Most of Digital Newspapers.” The focus of the presentation will be how to find the many repositories available for use, and how to get the most out of research on these sites.
Refreshments will be served, and all are welcome to attend.
The Genealogy Room on the main floor of the Library is open daily during library hours. On Mondays, Harlan Jessup, a member and professional genealogist, is available for research help in the Genealogy Room, using the club’s research materials, and the library’s dedicated computer.
For additional information about the meeting or the club in general, call Bea Morgan at 203-304-1861 or Mr Jessup 426-3981.
