The next meeting of The Genealogy Club of Newtown will be on Wednesday, October 14, at 7 pm, in the meeting room of C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street.

This month’s guest speaker will be David Perkins, from the Sons of the American Revolution. His subject will be “Finding Your Revolutionary War Ancestors in Connecticut.”

Mr Perkins is a past president of the Connecticut Society of the Sons of the American, and a member since 1997. He is currently the alternate national trustee for the state society.

Genealogy Club meetings start promptly at 7, but the club’s Help Desk is available for at least 15 minutes prior to that time. For those who have a problem or question with your research, club members are available to offer help.

In addition, Harlan Jessup and Bea Morgan are available on Mondays from 2 to 4:30 pm to help launch projects on the library’s dedicated computer in the Genealogy Room.

Refreshments will be served following the presentation, and all are welcome.

Reservations are not required, but additional information is available from Ms Morgan at 203-304-1861.
