The next meting of The Genealogy Club of Newtown will be on Wednesday, November 18, in the meeting room of C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street in Newtown.

The meeting will begin at 7 pm; light refreshments and socializing will precede the formal meeting.

This month’s guest speaker is Toni McKeen, who will present “They Became Americans: Locating and Obtaining Your Ancestors’ Naturalization Records.” Guests will learn about the valuable information Naturalization Records contain, who became naturalized and why, the steps involved in the process, the rules for women (and why they cannot be located), and the special handling of men serving in the military.

All are welcome for the free program.
