To the Editor:

Two issues in The Bee I would like to comment on:

1. Guns. There is no right in the Constitution, as said in a Bee letter last week, (The Newtown Bee, December 11, 2020, “An Informed Decision By Council”) for an individual to have a gun to protect himself. The Constitution states, “A well regulated militia to protect a free state,” no individual right. The Constitution gave the new citizens the right to be in a militia. They trained all the time, mostly to protect themselves against rebellious slaves.

2. The vaccine. I read that the vaccine works by tricking the person who gets it into producing antibodies. I voted for Joe Biden. I am not easily tricked. I think Trump voters should take it. They can be easily tricked.
