To the Editor:

It is my pleasure to let the community of Newtown know what a fine representative they have in Mitch Bolinsky. A few years ago, Mitch was canvassing my community at Walnut Tree Village phase 2. He rang my doorbell and I invited him in. At the time I was playing cards with three friends. Let me mention that all of us are Democrats. I told Mitch at the time that I did not care for Trump and what he was doing to this country. He said he respected my opinion. The rest of my friends agreed with me. He was very respectful of our opinions. He talked about Newtown and how committed he is to maintaining the integrity of the town.

I want to bring this to everyone’s attention because this election is too important to dismiss the type of person that is running for reelection, whether it be on a national level or a local level. Even though I am a registered Democrat, I have voted for Mitch multiple times because of the type of person that he is; he brings so much integrity and honesty to Hartford. When you’re casting your vote in this election, please consider the person running for the position and not the party that they represent. We need to restore America to what it was.
