David Bolmer
David Nufer Bolmer, age 62, of Ansonia, passed into the hands of our Lord on Thursday, October 8, at his home, following a sudden illness. Born in Danbury on January 19, 1958, he was the son of the late Nufer and Lorraine Sedor Bolmer.
Mr Bolmer was raised in Newtown and was a 1976 graduate of Newtown High School. He continued his education and earned a master’s degree in manufacturing engineering at Central State University.
David worked as an engineering contractor in the aerospace industry for multiple manufacturers including Pitney Bowes of Danbury; Sikorsky Aircraft of Stratford; Huntington Ingalls of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Butler Aerospace of Shelton.
David was devout to his faith and was an active member of Community Chapel of Oxford. He possessed a deep faith and sought God with all his heart. He was loved by many and was affectionately known as “Big Dave” or “Uncle Dave.” He found great peace on Cape Cod where he once owned a seasonal cottage. Nothing made him happier than a cigar, a glass of red wine, and a beautiful sunset on West Dennis Beach. David was always smiling, making people laugh, and will be long remembered by his many friends and family for his generosity as well as his kind and gentle spirit.
Mr Bolmer is survived by his devoted sister and brothers, Cheryl Ann Giandomenico, Gary Bolmer, and Brett Bolmer, all of Florida; a cherished niece, Alyssa Giandomenico of Florida; as well as many cousins and dear friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, William Eric Bolmer.
