Quality Leadership Needed

To the Editor:

In these deeply troubling times, the importance of quality leadership has become more pronounced than ever. With that in mind, I enthusiastically endorse Michelle McCabe as state senator for Connecticut’s 28th District.

Michelle’s strength lies in her well-roundedness. An ambitious problem-solver and thoughtful innovator, her willingness to put the needs of her constituents above her own has defined her career to date. Via her work as director of the Center for Food Equity and Economic Development, as well as her time spent on the Governor’s Agriculture Council, she has accrued a vast amount of relevant experience, leaving her intensely well prepared to deal with the rigors of a job in the state senate.

A mother to three children, Michelle’s accomplishments as a public servant are truly inspiring. She is precisely the sort of driven leader we need to face the respective health, economic, and environmental crises that Connecticut, like the rest of the world, is facing.

Above all else, I believe in her capacity to listen to those she represents, a trait I feel we have been sorely missing from our current leadership. Michelle empowers those around her; I consider it a great privilege to support her, in turn, as she pursues the position of state senator.

These opinions are my own and not those of the Legislative Council, of which I am a member.
