A Candidate ‘Ready To Get To Work’
To the Editor:
I hope Newtown voters will join me in voting for Michelle McCabe for state senate. Michelle impresses me with her well thought out ideas and policies, especially as they relate to seniors and small businesses. My husband and I are planning for retirement and have owned several small businesses, so these issues are very important to us.
Michelle works in the field of helping those who are food insecure and knows exactly how to identify and help seniors struggling with food insecurity. She understands that many more seniors are food-insecure than people realize.
Michelle is focused on affordable housing for seniors so that they can retire in place. She also proposes expanded help for caregivers and health care providers, including compensation for caregivers, especially now during COVID.
McCabe is a proponent of affordable health care for all Connecticut residents, including better access to mental health care. She believes that no one should worry about affording medical care. Michelle proposes to allow small businesses and those who are self employed to be able to access the state health insurance plan. As a small business owner myself, I know how necessary this is.
Michelle is invested in helping small businesses, the backbone of our community. She works with small business owners every day in her profession and understands the challenges of finding and maintaining a good work force and the issues with the high cost of health insurance. She will work to fix the difficult permitting process that prevents growth and establishing footholds. She also plans to help small businesses stay afloat and pivot as necessary due to COVID, by helping with service delivery and production.
Let’s elect Michelle McCabe. She’s ready to get to work for all of us.
