Endorsing Walsh For Judge Of Probate
To The Editor:
I'm writing to endorse Patrick Walsh for probate judge. Patrick has been our family's attorney since we moved to Connecticut, about 20 years ago. Since that time, Patrick has been at our side helping us with items from things such as family wills and trusts, to more complex business situations that required significant research and expertise. Through all of these endeavors, the three traits that have been simply obvious are Patrick's unwavering integrity, his care for his clients, and his vast knowledge and expertise of the law.
An example that shows Patrick's commitment was the day my daughter was born. We had already bought a house in Sandy Hook, and the day of our closing on the sale of our Ridgefield home was that same day. Amanda came five weeks early, so we were obviously distraught with concern over her health. The closing (we could not afford both houses) was that morning, but we ended up in the hospital at 4 am. Realizing the closing was hours away, I called Patrick asking him what to do. He answered the phone that early and simply said, "Sit tight" and within an hour (5 am), Patrick was in the hospital with power of attorney papers. He went on to complete the closing while my wife and I tended to our brand-new baby - very impressive, if you ask me.
The story above is just one example of the many times Patrick has gone over and above to help our family with various items. It has been my pleasure to work with Patrick these many years and I am highly confident that Patrick will be an excellent public servant in the role of probate judge. I wholeheartedly endorse Patrick Walsh.
