To the Editor:

To all the generous folks in Newtown, this letter of thank yous is long overdue; however, know y’all are in my thoughts and prayers, each day for all the blessings we have received and especially here in Nunnawauk Meadows.

We have enjoyed food from Claris Construction, FAITH Food Pantry, Victory Garden, and other individuals.

We have summer concerts on Thursday nights courtesy of Claris Construction. It was amazing to go and enjoy being outside and entertained.

So many restaurants and organizations that have been so generous with the Friday lunches from the Senior Center. Natalie, Judy, and Dan and all the wonderful volunteers are there to greet you as you drive up and receive a delicious lunch. There are so many folks behind the scenes that I don’t know of to say “Thank you,” but each one of you deserves a big “hug.”

On a personal note, I was elected president of the Nunnawauk Meadows Residents Association, and one thing we do each year to raise money is a tag/bake sale. Well, with COVID-19, we couldn’t do that. I am so thankful to Barbara Bloom for introducing me to a site “Buy Nothing Newtown, CT.” I went on it and wished for returnables to help our association earn the money we need for this year to help. We have speakers and entertainment, activities we pay for when it gets “normal” again. I have had the pleasure of meeting so many generous people.

We are so blessed by y’all. I’m grateful for each of you out there that has helped in whatever way you can. A simple thank you is sometimes not a lot, but with my whole heart, I thank you! You are appreciated!
