HARTFORD— In a new video series, six leading Connecticut musicians are raising their voices — and sharing their talents — to help encourage support for the Connecticut COVID-19 Charity Connection, also known as 4-CT. The recently founded organization supports Connecticut nonprofits to serve those most at need during the COVID-19 crisis.

“This crisis is pushing our nonprofits to the brink and we are coming together to support them so they can help those most in need,” said Joe Bouchard, former bassist and founding member of Blue Oyster Cult. “When you donate to 4-CT, every penny goes directly to meeting real, urgent needs. I hope you will go to 4-ct.org and contribute today.”

“We are so grateful that these talented Connecticut musicians are sharing their talents with us through this video series and encouraging others to support 4-CT,” said Ted Yang, co-founder and COO of 4-CT. “This is such a powerful way for people to come together and make sure we meet the needs of the Connecticut nonprofits. They are counting on us to help those most impacted by this crisis.”

“4-CT is getting help to the folks in our great state who need it most right now by getting critical funding to the nonprofits serving on the front lines of this crisis,” said rock and soul vocalist Christine Ohlman, a long-time vocalist for the Saturday Night Live Band. AJ Gundell, a 13-time Emmy Award winning musician and musical director for well-known television programs such as CBS’s Guiding Light, added, “4-CT was founded to help our own Connecticut neighbors by connecting donors with the nonprofits providing assistance to families during this crisis. One hundred percent of donations go to supporting those organizations that are feeding people, helping the homeless and more.”

Singer-songwriter PJ Pacifico, who has opened for leading acts like Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, and whose music can be heard on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, echoed that message, saying, “4-CT was created specifically to support the Connecticut nonprofits most impacted by the COVID-19 crisis and their work is making such a big difference in people’s lives right now.” Jazz saxophonist Vincent Ingala also weighed in, saying, “I love this state very much. That’s why I am asking you to support this incredible new relief fund, 4-CT, which connects donors to help address some of the most urgent needs across our state right now.”

“We’ve never experienced anything like this COVID-19 crisis before, but I know we’ll all get through it together,” added Greg Mattson, of the band Mattson. “I’m encouraging you to go to 4-ct.org today, where 100 percent of your donation will go to local food banks, child care support for first responders, and other critical needs.”
