Occupation: I work in sales at Miner’s Inc. I’ve been there for six years. It’s a retail building supply company in Canton, Conn.

Family: My wife is Lorraine. We’ve been together for more than 30 years. We have three kids. Denise lives in Newtown and we have twin boys, Eric and Ryan, who live in Danbury.

Pets: We have a cat named Lacey.

How long have you lived in Newtown? Since 1988. My wife is a lifelong Newtowner, and I grew up in Bethel.

What do you like to do in your free time? I like to do community service on boards. I’ve been on the C.H. Booth Library’s Board of Trustees for a year and a half. In June I’ll become the treasurer. I also serve on the board for the Northeast Lumber and Building Materials Dealer Foundation. It does a lot of education for the industry and is a nonprofit. I enjoy hiking and reading, too.

What is your favorite book genre? Biography, history, and business books.

What is your favorite travel destination? The United States National Parks, because I like nature and to go hiking. The next park I want to go to is Big Bend.

What is the best part about Newtown? The hiking trails. My favorites are at Holcombe Hill and Cherry Grove.

Who has been the greatest influence in your life? My wife. She motivates and inspires me.

If you could spend the day with one person, who would you choose and why? Seth Godin. He wrote Tribes and he has a podcast. He makes you think.

What are your favorite musical podcasts? Song Exploder, Broken Record, and Dissect.

Do you have a favorite TV show? My wife and I currently like watching This Is Us.

What is the greatest piece of advice you have ever been given? “When you make changes, go slow.” I remember learning that early in my life.

What is something you cannot live without? Books.

What is your proudest accomplishment? Raising my children.
