'Echoes Of Sinatra And Dino' At Ridgefield Playhouse To Benefit Sandy Hook Promise
RIDGEFIELD — Sandy Hook Promise , a nonprofit organization dedicated to eradicating gun violence in schools, will be the beneficiary of a fundraising concert on Saturday, January 11, at 7:30 pm, at The Ridgefield Playhouse.
Echoes of Sinatra and Dino, a family friendly concert featuring a nine-piece orchestra, is a stylish tribute to the music of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. Ridgefield resident Steve Kazlauskas, renowned for his vocal stylings of Sinatra’s songs, and equally talented Dean Martin tribute artist Jack Lynn headline the show. The popular duo has entertained audiences and impressed critics nationwide with their musical antics and skilled storytelling. Their songs are backed by the world class musicianship of The Tony T Orchestra.
The evening promises to create a fun and memorable experience that will raise funds to support Sandy Hook Promise’s “Know The Signs” programs that educate students how to look out for each other and prevent school violence before it happens.
Concert organizer Bill Flash said he has “seen the positive impact Sandy Hook Promise’s programs have on students, and I want to do everything I can to help them spread that message to as many students as possible.
“If that means raising money to help them fund their programs, then let’s raise as much as possible,” he added.
Tickets for Echoes of Sinatra and Dino are $50-$75 each. Optional Meet & Greet upgrades are available for an additional $25.

Since its inception, Sandy Hook Promise (SHP) has trained more than seven million youth and adults to know the signs that someone may be at risk of hurting themselves or others. They have taught students simple yet effective ways to be inclusive and to create interpersonal bonds that prevent the isolation that can sometimes lead to violence against self or others.
These educational programs are delivered at no cost to the schools and organizations that receive the training, so SHP depends on financial support in order to deliver these trainings and to sustain the message through ongoing reinforcement, including clubs, activities, and refreshers.
SHP is a national nonprofit organization founded and led by several family members whose loved ones were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School on 12/14. Based in Newtown, the organization’s intent is to honor all victims of gun violence by turning their tragedy into a moment of transformation by providing programs and practices that protect children from gun violence.
The mission of SHP is to create a culture engaged in preventing shootings, violence, and other harmful acts in schools. SHP is a moderate, above-the-politics organization that supports sensible program and policy solutions that address the “human side” of gun violence by preventing individuals from ever getting to the point of picking up a firearm to hurt themselves or others.
