To the Editor:

This past weekend, Friends of the C.H. Booth Library sponsored our 16th annual Holiday Gift Sale to benefit the C.H. Booth Library. Holiday cheer prevailed as many shoppers purchased gifts for their friends and family. This generous community response resulted in one of our most successful holiday sales to date.

Another contributing factor to the sale’s success was the generosity of local businesses that donated brand-new gift items: Art & Frame of Newtown, B.D. Provisions, Butcher’s Best, Edmond Town Hall, Nails & Beyond, Newtown Country Club, Popowich Chiropractic, and Ultimate Limo Services — all showed wonderful holiday spirit! Also, we extend many thanks to everyone who donated an impressive variety of items, including handcrafted needlepoint pillows, crocheted and quilted blankets, quality books, CDs, DVDs, puzzles, games, toys, etc that were offered at the sale. We are grateful to the C.H. Booth Library for providing us with the perfect venue for the sale. Congratulations to all our wonderful volunteers, whose year-round efforts ensured a successful sale.

If you couldn’t find the time last weekend or are wondering what to get a special person on your gift list, come visit the Little Book Store on the second floor of the C.H. Booth Library. We still have many gift-quality books and boutique items that may just fit the bill, but supplies are limited.

With best wishes for the holiday season,

Toni Earnshaw, President
