To the Editor:

I am writing this letter in support of my father, Andrew Clure, for Legislative Council District 3. I have experienced firsthand the things my father has dedicated to the Town of Newtown.

Before I finished elementary school, I had known my father as a leader. He opened the Sandy Hook Arcade Center in Sand Hill Plaza in 2013, and it was easy for me to see then his lasting impact on the families of our community. But it doesn’t stop there. He joined the Board of Managers at Edmond Town Hall to help build another place that parents could enjoy with their kids. He organized two free movie nights for movies that had yet to be released, which marked his start on the board. Already, at a young age, I was wildly impressed by my father.

My dad is my number one fan. There has not been one time where I had to wonder if my dad would come to one of my countless sport games or music concerts. If I gave him a time and a place, he would be there, in the front stands, cheering me on. Knowing my dad’s dedication to this, it came as no surprise to me when he joined the Board of Education in 2015. Over these four years, I have seen the endless hours of his time he has devoted to the Board. It was exciting for me to see something he was so passionate about working on.

My dad has been nothing but supportive of me my whole life, so I’m grateful to be able to support him on the next chapter of his commitment to the Town of Newtown. As I said in 2013, 2015, and will continue now, Choose Clure! Vote for Andrew Clure for Legislative Council District 3.
