To the Editor:

My name is Dan Wiedemann, and I am seeking reelection as a Republican to the Legislative Council District 2. For the past two years, I have served as the vice chair of the council. I currently serve on the Education and Municipal Operations (former chair) sub-committees of the council. I also served on the last Charter Revision Commission and prior to that served as chair of the Shared Services Committee. My experience on the council and the various committees has allowed me great insight into the inner workings of our town and hopefully will enable me to serve you.

I have lived in Newtown for 30 years. My wife of 42 years, Anna, and I have three children who all went through Newtown’s excellent school system. We now have three grandchildren, all of whom are in the second grade, one in Newtown. My wife and I love this town and are very proud to serve all sorts of boards, committees, and commissions.
