Joseph L. Ciliberti, 70, of Ansonia, died May 19, at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Francine Cannizzaro Ciliberti. He was born in Bridgeport on May 15, 1948, son of Michael and Eva Young Ciliberti.

His wife, Francine Cannizzaro Ciliberti; daughters, Sandra Esteves of Sandy Hook, Lisa Antidormi and Carol Cabanas of Naugatuck, Ramona Reed of South Carolina, and Eva Puccilli of Milford; sons, Louis Ciliberti of Maine, John Ciliberti of Wallingford, Joseph Ciliberti II of Shelton, and Frank Ciliberti of Florida; brothers, Michael Ciliberti of North Haven and Kenneth Ciliberti of Maine; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews survive him.

His parents and his brother, Richard Ciliberti, predeceased him.

Mr Ciliberti was a proud veteran of the US Navy, having served during the Vietnam War. He had worked as a real estate agent and enjoyed music.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Thursday, May 24, at 1 pm, at Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Drive, Ansonia, for a Mass of Christian Burial. US Navy military honors will be accorded following Mass. Interment will be private.
