Lymphedema And Breast Cancer

DANBURY — “Lymphedema and Breast Cancer” is the subject for discussion during a Breast Cancer Awareness Month program to be conducted at the Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital on Wednesday, October 5.

 The program will take place in the Ruth C. Donovan Resource Room located on the first floor of the Stroock Building from 4 to 5:30 pm.  Park free in the Red garage, Locust Avenue entrance.

Featured speaker will be Laurie LeMasurier, occupational therapist with the hospital’s Main Street Physical Rehabilitation Center.  Topics she will discuss include what is lymphedema, the risk factors, risk reduction, and treatment.
