Sante Testani, 84, of Newtown, previously of Bridgeport, died November 23 at Danbury Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Torrice, Providence of Frosinone, Italy, on November 8, 1923, a son of Eletro and Antonia Cianfrani Testani.
Mr Testani is survived by his brother, Fausto Testani of Trumbull and his sister Louisa Vincenzi of Torrice, Italy. He is also survived by his nephews, Bernard Testani of Newtown and Mark Testani of Fairfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins in the United States, Italy, and Canada. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Dominick Testani, and a sister, Irene (Nana) Cristofari.
Mr Testani was a machinist for the Textron Co. for 24 years before his retirement 20 years ago. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the US Army. He was an avid fisherman and bocce player and also loved to play cards with his family.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated November 26 in St Margaretâs Shrine, Bridgeport. Burial followed in St Michaelâs Cemetery, Stratford.
