WCAC/Convard Opening Reception

DANBURY — Maurice Convard, an artist from Woodbury, will celebrate a new exhibit of his artowkr on view at Wooster Community Art Center, 73 Miry Brook Road, with an opening reception on Friday, May 11, from 6 to 8 pm. The exhibition offers a series of folk carvings made from native New England materials and works created by using chemical patina to carry pigment to copper plates.

A bench-taught artist, Mr Convard’s work has previously been exhibited at Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury and by New Haven Paint and Clay Club. Contact WCAC at 744-4825. The show will remain on view until June 30.
