Investment Strategies Workshop

A retirement investment strategies workshop will be held on May 7, from 6 to 8 pm in the board room of Cyrenius H. Booth Library on Main Street.

The program, presented by Joan Bouchard, CLU, ChFC, will address the possibility of outliving retirement income. Savings and investments may become depleted as years go by and expenses add up. Taxes and inflation could have an effect on retirement savings.

During the workshop, attendees will learn how to:

• Calculate cost of retirement;

• Understand various tax laws with regard to investments;

• Invest for growth, income, and stability;

• Take a balanced approach to investing and achieving goals;

• Determine the long-term allocation of funds that match investing profile;

• Adjust portfolio to keep pace with inflation;

• Make informed decisions as to which investments best suit your needs;

• Minimize risk and maintain potential for competitive returns; and

• Prepare for a more comfortable and rewarding retirement lifestyle.

Attendees will receive a full-color, 20-page workbook on retirement investment strategies that contains information, exercises, and questions to help you assess your current situation and to make sound financial decisions.
