Garner Prisoner Charged In Dual Assaults

State police said that during the course of an inmate-vs-inmate assault in the state’s high-security Garner Correctional Institution on Nunnawauk Road about 7:30 pm September 21, Garner inmate Adam Dwayne Davenport, 20, assaulted two correction officers, injuring both officers.

State police did not identify the injured officers.

State police arrested Davenport on two counts of assaulting a public safety officer.

Davenport is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on October 3. Davenport is serving a prison sentence for a conviction on a narcotics possession charge.
