Fine Sportsmen

The Newtown High School boys’ varsity basketball team recently completed a fine 2000-2001 season during which it went 15-8, including 15 wins over its last 17 games. Most importantly, however, the Nighthawks were considered one of the nicest teams around. In April, Newtown was presented with the Fairfield County sportsmanship award given out annually by the region’s association of referees.
