Miracles Do Happen

To the Editor:

We at the FAITH Food Pantry had almost completely empty cupboards until the people of Newtown, once again, opened up their hearts. On Saturday, November 19, food and money (over $1,000) started arriving by car and truck. Our cupboards are now overflowing and our freezers are jammed with turkeys.

A special note of thanks goes out to St Rose Church, to Karin Halstead who “organized” the Newtown firefighters, and to numerous families.

I love you, Newtown.
