Choral Society Begins Rehearsals

Mary Andreotta, director of the Newtown Choral Society, has announced that rehearsals for the winter concert will begin September 10 at Newtown Middle School.  Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria in D Major will be the main composition.

Other works will include carols arranged by John Rutter, Mozart’s Ave Verum Corpus, and songs from Christmas movies.

There are openings in all sections.

Now in its 17th year, Newtown Choral Society welcomes members from all area towns and asks only that a prospective member have a love of music and a willingness to learn.
