Understanding Special Education
DANBURY â The Western Connecticut Association for Human Rights (WeCAHR) is offering the Understanding Special Education (USE) course including sections on the IEP Team and Inclusion.
The training is offered at no cost to parents and professionals.
It will consist of two four-and-a-half-hour sessions (nine hours total) October 18 and 25 from 9 am to 1:30 pm. Topics covered include special education law and building an effective IEP in a collaborative atmosphere.
Attendance of both sessions is required. There are a limited number of parent stipends available to help with child care costs, which will must be independently arranged. Babysitting will not be provided on site. Space is limited, so register soon.
