Substitute Driver Says Thanks

To the Editor:

I would like to publicly thank Janice and Dan Paynter (Bus #22 and Bus #25) for allowing me to be their subdriver for the past five years. It has been a blast. I will forever be grateful to you both for giving me the opportunity to work for you. It has been great from the very first day back in 1999 when you, Janice, started training me to become a bus driver. When I started driving you told me that I was hired, and the day after I received my CDL license that was the case.

I would also like to thank all the many other bus drivers I worked for over the years. It’s always been fun and I have enjoyed it immensely.

I am very excited and happy to say that I was awarded my own bus contract, and I will be driving for myself. So look for Bus #30 beginning in August.

Thank you to all the parents and especially the kids that I drove for the past five years. I hope that I will get some of the routes that I have had in the past so that I may see the kids grow with each school year. I look forward to driving for many years to come. Again, thank you Janice and Danny for being such great bosses and becoming such good friends with me as well!
