I am writing in support of Deborra Zukowski’s candidacy for Newtown’s Board of Education.

Deb is well known to me, from work related to the class rank system at NHS during my time as interim principal through to the charter revision and Fairfield Hills master plan review during my tenure as First Selectman and which she again has taken on as we struggle to determine the right course of action for the campus. Deb is a tireless worker and strong leader — with a singular focus on doing the right thing for Newtown — for our schools and for general governance. She has impressive strengths in analysis and research. She is one of the strongest thinkers I have worked with. And she has a depth of commitment to gathering and valuing feedback from the community on issues that matter and which are relevant to our future. I am enthusiastic in my support and encourage voters to cast a ballot in her favor. Make Deborra Zukowski your choice for Board of Education.
