Robert C.         Bissonnette

Robert C. Bissonnette, 89, of Hendersonville, N.C., died October 28 at Cherry Springs Village. He was a native of Bridgeport and lived in Pompano Beach and Ormand Beach, Fla., for the past 27 years, before moving to Hendersonville this year.

He was the grandfather of Joann Hetzer of Sandy Hook.

He was the son of the late Camille Bissonnette and Ruth (Rude) Bissonnette, and husband of the late Anna Bissonnette. He was a longtime employee of Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, where he was a machine shop superintendent, retiring in 1973. He was active in the Moose and Elk Lodge, both in Florida and Connecticut. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church.

He is survived by three sons, Robert Bissonnette, Jr, and Alan Bissonnette, both of Hendersonville, N.C., and William Bissonnette of Bridgeport; one sister, Irene B. Warner of Trumbull; eight other grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

 A service was held on October 31 at Shepherds Church Street Chapel. Burial will follow at a later date in Pompano Beach.

 Thomas Shepherd and Son Funeral Directors were in charge of arrangements.
