To the Editor:

I am proud to state my support for Neil Chaudhary for election to our Police Commission. Neil is a traffic safety scientist of national regard and prominence. He has worked on safety issues of importance, including teen and distracted driving, with police departments locally and across the nation. Dr Chaudhary is thoughtful, careful, research-based, collaborative, and very well-informed. For at least a decade, Neil’s skills and dispositions have been of service in our community on committees and boards, always seeking common sense solutions that are positive for Newtown. And for five years Neil served with honor on our Legislative Council, being quickly recognized as a facts driven, fiscally responsible leader.

Dr Chaudhary’s knowledge, skills, and dispositions are a perfect fit for Newtown’s Police Commission. I proudly promote Neil’s candidacy for this most important position and encourage my fellow Newtowners to cast their vote for Neil Chaudhary.
