To the Editor:

I would like to support the candidacy of Neil Chaudhary for police commissioner in Newtown. Neil has been involved in Newtown as a volunteer for many years and has been actively involved in government-related activities. His professional background in transportation and planning as well as his strong concern for the welfare of Newtown citizens makes him an excellent candidate for this office. Neil led discussions of transportation during the Livable Community Public Forum in 2018 and began the work of developing goals and objectives to improve transportation options in Newtown. I believe his experience and concern will be a valuable addition to the important work of the police commission. I am writing this letter of support as an individual and not as a representative of any group.
