Boys U14
Raptors 3, Cheshire 1 (State Cup) â Ben Mahony, George Zaruba and Ralph Sergiovanni scored to lift the Raptors past Cheshire and into the State Cup semi-finals. Chris McCann, Adam Buccino and Kyle Kromberg controlled the midfield while the defense was held down by Andy Lapple, Ben Miles and Dan Greenwood. Zach Dlouhy had an excellent game in goal. The Raptors will battle Avon on Saturday in Newtown.
Raptors 8, Danbury 2 â Ralph Sergiovanni scored three goals while Danny Clement, Ben Mahony, Adam Buccino, George Zaruba and Matt Baier each scored one to lead the Raptors to the win. The midfield effort was led by Eric Keogler, Casey Tenney and Matt Iassogna while Ben Miles, Dan Greenwood, and Andy Lapple managed the defense.
Girls U13
Roadrunners 2, Watertown 0 â KellyAnne Brophy and Shannon Paproski scored to lead the Roadrunners to the win. Becca Jaroszewski, Ali Pliszka and Jill Jagoe had great all-around games while Casey Rutter made some great saves in the shutout.
Girls U12
Power 5, Litchfield 0 â Christina Caporale and Molly Mahony had two goals apiece and Ali Korchman added one as the Power remained undefeated in league play. Nicole Davis, Cristina Naldini, Meaghan Carney, Maddie Keane and Kelley Gaston provided assists. Hannah Maret, Ale Fuentes and Jessica Jowdy played well at midfield.
Boys U11
Cobras 6, Danbury 0 â Stephen Conway scored three goals and assisted on another as the Cobras stung Danbury. Chris Erikson had two goals and Nick Barreto added one. Sam Langdon, Matt Rahtelli and Pieter Martino created the defensive pressure that resulted in the shutout, which goaltenders Sean Elliot and Robert Willis shared in.
Nashua Gold 1, Cobras 0 â Playing in constant rain, the Cobras had strong midfield play from Danny Bittman, Nick Gerbo and Peter Kerns. The defense kept it close with play by Matt Rahtelli and Andrew Kelley. Chris Thornberg and Ian Solaski added the offensive pressure.
Cobras 2, Devils United (NH) 1 â Connor Quinn netted a goal on an assist from Noah Sock and Christian Mather added another off a rebound to lead the Cobras past the Devils United of New Hampshire. Nick Barreto, Ian Solaski and Pieter Martino played well offensive. Defensively, Andrew Kelley, Matt Rahtelli and Patrick Thornberg repeatedly stopped their progress with aggressive play.
Girls U11
Flash 4, Watertown 0 â Melissa Buccino, Brittany Tolla and Stephanie Roman all scored to lead the Flash to the win. Morgan Kirol, Kristen Grabowski, Julia Trudell and goaltender Katy Yakush were outstanding on defense.
Boys U10
Brookfield 4, Bombas 0 â Charlie Poarch, Taite Mansfield, Austin Raftery and Stefen Dullinger led a strong second-half defense.
Southbury 3, Bombas 0 â Jordan Sock, Connor Gallagher and Robert Linden led the Bombas in a make up game played last Thursday.
Girls U10
New Milford 1, Jaguars 0 â Lindsay Jagoe, Shannon OâGorman and Angela Halili who kept the offensive pressure on all game while Jamison Fletcher, Ali Brazo and Tess Murray were solid on defense.

Girls U14
Danbury 5, Hyper Hippos 1 â Mara Scallon scored the lone Newtown goal on an assist from Kayla Buckley. Megan OâConnell, Alyssa Finkenstadt, Becca Silveira, Emily Dion and Deanna Tassinari played well for the Hippos.
Hyper Hippos 2, Sharpshooters 1 â Katie Howell and Kayla Buckley scored to lead the Hippos to the win. Alyssa Finkenstadt had an assist. Margot Isaacs, Becca Silveira, Katie Peters and Mara Scallon played well. For the Sharpshooters, Jenna Bonaccorso scored the goal while Michaela Beaudry and Kate Foy were solid in the net. Sarah McMahon, Jenna Stromsky and Zoe Eggelston also played well.
Danbury 3, Hurricanes 0 â Samantha Whitley and Em Audet were solid in the net as Christie Iorfino, Marysa Audet, Emily Ashbolt and Emily Terri played well on defense for the âCanes.
Boys U14
Beverly Hillbillies 4, Wildfire 1 â Joshua Branchflower and Luke Shearing scored the goals with Ben Federman provided a pair of assists to lead the Hillbillies. Dan OâConnor was strong in the midfield. For the âFire, Chris Arnone scored. Keenan Bennett played well on offense as Vinny Brophy and Patrick Shirley powered the D.
Boys U10
Power Pigs 2, Gators 1 â Steven Walsh and Harry Solaski scored to lead the Pigs to the win and Jonathan Vaughn did a great job on defense. For the Gators, Michael Stierle scored while Connor Roche and Ryan Pisani were solid in the net.
Scorpions 2 Blue Dragons 1 â Kevin Droniak scored twice as the Scorpions stung the Dragons. Jimmy Kostopoulos, Lucas LaDestro, Colin Patrick and Jake Oliger played well. For the Dragons, Quinn Helmig had the goal while Ryan Sullivan and Trevor Gaines had strong performances.
Golden Toasters 4, Orangutans 0 â Alex Roche scored a pair of goals while Richard Greenwood and Alec Lockhart scored one apiece to lead the Toasters to the win. Jared Wray and Patrick Afriyie played well in goal. For the Orangutans,Raymond Xue and Michael Texiera played solid defense. James Walker and Mitchell Stewart also played well.
Girls U10
Bulldogs 1, Funky Monkeys 0 â Hayley Dunn scored the lone goal of the game to lift the Bulldogs to the win. Hayley Naphen played a strong offensive game as Alison Kron and Olivia Korth were a force on defense. For the Monkeys, Bethany Dubois and Taylor Zingaro were terrific all-around as Ashley Maturo provided strong offensive support. Emily Brisson had a nice game on D.
Boys U8
Huskies 5, Sharpshooters 0 â Michael Parker scored twice while Alex Gerbo, Connor Flint and Robbie Schreiber scored once each to lead the Huskies to the win. The Supershooters were led by the offensive efforts of Owen Samson and Graham Hubbert and the defensive prowess of Travis Hanna and Nate Dowd.
Bulldogs 4, Fierce Jaguars 0 â Nathyn Horvath, Justin Oelberg, Michael Cook and Clayton Gattey scored to lead the Bulldogs to the win. Jacob Ermis, Tim Moore and Jacob Harper played solid D.
Fierce Jaguars 4, Tigersharks 0 â Jamie Cochrane, Paul OâLeary Andrew Svanda scored as Jesse Cabral and Owen Richards played stellar defense to lead the Jaguars. Eddie Gardner and Devin Matte had a great game on offense for the âSharks as Forest Weatherby was excellent on defense.
Vikings 1, Badgers 0 â Matthew Maturo scored the lone goal of the game to lead the Vikings over the Badgers. Matthew Stewart, Michael Cloonan, and James Barry all contributed strong efforts to help seal the victory. For the Badgers, Kyle Watkins had a great day in the goal with defensive help from Akshay Delity. Tyler Dullinger and Richard Ciamarra were outstanding on offense.
Strikers 4, Rockets 1 â Albert Dean scored two goals and Spencer Tolson and Scott Anderson scored one goal each to lift the Strikers to the win. Nick Samuelson and Dillon Palumbo played well in goal and Grant Untiedt had an overall strong game. The lone goal for the Rockets was scored by Jon Rospenda. Chris Rovelli and Andrey Masser both had several shots on goal and played an outstanding overall game.
Wizards 1, Blue Dragons 0 â Aidan Petershack had the only goal to lead the Wizards to the win. Sean Dalton and Andrei Kalinowski led a solid defensive effort while Peter Kohlsaats had a strong all-around game. For the Dragons, Anthony Crisalli was strong on offense while Matthew Hess anchored the D and Patrick Berger good all-around game
Girls U8
All Stars 2, Tigers 0 â Casey Harkins and Shelby Tolla scored the goals that lifted the Stars to the win. Clare Boyle and Lexi Rodriguez were strong on defense. For the Tigers, Laura Sullivan was aggressive and Emily Charash was tremendous in goal.
Racing Stripes 6, Tigers 1 â Taylor Lafave scored four goals and Samantha Cannavo added two more to lead the Racing Stripes. Kelly Skewis, Tonya Tucker and Alexis Tucker all played well. For the Tigers, Amanda Martinez scored a nice goal while Sara Lampel played great defense. Hannah Logan and Olivia Holman played very well in goal.
All Stars 2, Ball Hogs 0 â Shelby Tolla scored both goals with assists by Maddie Bridges and Stella Wetchler to lift the Stars to the win. Casey Harkins had a strong effort. For the Hogs, Jamie Calandro played a great all around game while Julie Schoeni and Erica Smith were strong on offense and Callie Kraushaar and Tess Stofko were great on defense.
Lady Hawks 5, Munchkins 2 â Meg Korchman and Kailee Dunnigan scored two goals apiece and Megan Milano had one to lead the Hawks. Ashley Marks and Madeleine Strokis played well all around. For the Munchkins, Geralyn Klein and Haley Trudell both scored as Emily Campbell and Caroline Tanner had solid games.
Dolphins 1, Mustangs 1 â Kelsey Muniz of the Dolphins and Jessica Keller of the Mustangs scored the lone goals in this 1-1 draw. For the âFins, Hailey Conrad and Emily Turrco played great defense for the team while Jesse Sailer played very aggressive on offense. For the âStangs, Hannah Schneiderman played an outstanding game in goal while Julia Scarangella and Kelly Coughlin played well all-around.
Huskies 6, Tigers 2 â Kate Haggerty and Sarah Lynch scored two goals each while Hannah Booth and Julia Wiberg each added a goal for the Huskies. Claire Swanson played a strong game.
