EverWonder Museum Announces October Programs
EverWonder Children’s Museum, at 31 Pecks Lane, has announced its calendar for October 2019.
Members Only Hour, launched in June, will continue this month. The museum opens at 10 am on Saturdays for members, one hour earlier than nonmember guests, as a way of thanking its member supporters.
In the Yellow Art Lab, guests will create a beautiful autumn tissue paper leaf. In the Blue Science Lab, flap your wings with bat straw rockets.
Matching Grant & Special Fundraising
EverWonder continues to challenge its board, members, and supporters to raise $100,000 in donations and pledges before January 31, 2020.
This goal was set with the receipt earlier this year of the museum’s largest grant to date, a $100,000 challenge from the Jeniam Foundation. The foundation will match dollar for dollar in excess of 2018 contributions, up to $100,000, all donations and pledges that EverWonder receives by the end of the first month of the new year. Visit or contact the museum for details or to make a donation.
October Stop & Shop Community Bag Program: For every purchase of a $2.50 Community Bag with the Giving Tag at Stop & Shop in Newtown, $1 will be donated to EverWonder.
Visit Stop & Shop at 228 South Main Street (Sand Hill Plaza) to support the museum.
