To the Editor:

I am writing to encourage Newtown voters to support Steve Hinden for re-election to the Newtown Board of Finance. In his time serving on the Board, Steve has shown a consistently thoughtful and analytical approach to budget questions.

I believe it is important to elect representatives like Steve who bring an independent perspective. Further, I know that Steve prioritizes what is important to all of us — including education, long-term planning, and policy. I have known Steve personally for several years, and I know we can count on his honesty and integrity when he is re-elected to the Board of Finance.
