To the Editor:

As many of you know, I am running for reelection to the Newtown Board of Finance. In the two years I have served, I have consistently been an active voice and thought partner to the Board of Selectmen and the Board of Education representatives and to my colleagues on the Board of Finance. Newtown is facing many challenges in determining budgets, land use, shifting demographics, debt policy, and capital improvement plans. It is critical that the process includes representatives who work collaboratively and thoughtfully, with the independence to ask tough questions and vote with the courage of their convictions. I believe I have demonstrated those qualities, and I hope that I have earned your trust come election day this November 5.

I have lived in Newtown for over 15 years with my wife, Barbara Wojcik, and our son, Jacob, now a junior in Newtown High School. We are very proud to call Newtown our home.
