To the Editor:

Dennis Brestovansky is my choice for the Board of Education, and he should be yours! Let me explain why.

In simple terms, I see three “generations” of taxpayers in our town. Those who have yet to reap the benefits of our school system, those who currently have children in schools, and folks like me who no longer have children in the school system. Despite what “generation,” we all want our schools to thrive in an effort to keep our town vibrant and support our property values. Dennis will represent all of us. He has the experience to do so. He has lived in our community for 20-plus years. He has four children who have benefited from our public school system. He has been involved in public service through schools, athletics at Newtown High School, and St Rose Church, to name a few. He has run businesses with operating budgets of over $100 million. He is smart. He is dedicated. He checks all of the boxes of qualifications.

But the real reason to vote for Dennis is that he listens and he will ask questions and make fact-based, data-driven decisions. He is open-minded and committed to making our school system the best that it can be while being fiscally responsible.

Please join me in voting for Dennis Brestovansky on November 5 for Board of Education. I know he is the person for the job, and you won’t be disappointed if he gets your vote.
