The Newtown Chamber of Commerce will hold a Pizza & Politics forum October 29, from 6 to 9 pm at the Reed School Cafetorium.

Co-sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, the Newtown Woman’s Club, the Newtown Rotary, and the Newtown Lions Club, Pizza & Politics is a public forum for Newtown’s political candidates to discuss their positions on local issues. The evening will be led by the Connecticut League of Women Voters.

Topics for the discussion are driven by the candidates and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions.

Guest speakers include the candidates for the Legislative Council, the Board of Education as well as the Board of Selectmen. Forty candidates will participate in the event, including first selectman candidates Herb Rosenthal, Joseph Borst, Jay Mattegat, and Christian Qualey, Jr.

Limited tickets will be available at the door. This event is open to the public with a $10 charge for dinner and refreshments.
