ARION’S YORK ANTIQUES SHOW WILL RETURN AUG. 31–SEPT. 2 w/3 cuts

YORK, PENN. — The 149th original semiannual York Antiques Show & Sale will return Friday, August 31, through Sunday, September 2, at Memorial Hall East, within the downtown York Fairgrounds Convention and Expo Center.

The fall edition of this event features 96 exhibitors in room settings offering a range of antiques.

According to show manager Melvin L. Arion, the merchandise at York will include Eighteenth and Nineteenth Century American and English furniture, formal and country pieces, early porcelain such as Staffordshire, Delft, Canton and Chinese export; pottery, including redware and stoneware; Oriental carpets, quilts, hooked rugs, samplers and other textiles; estate jewelry; early kitchen and fireplace items, and more.

During all three days of the show George and Mickey Deike will be autographing and personalizing copies of their book, Feathers and Foliage: The Life and Times of the Pearlware Peafowl.

New to the fall show will be folk art and painted furniture specialist Joseph Marin, Brownington, Vt., and Pennsylvania dealers Fryling’s Antiques of Green Lane and Frank and Terri Martin of Mertztown.

Show hours on Friday and Saturday are 10 am to 6 pm, and Sunday, 11 am to 5 pm.

Admission is $10 per person, $9 with this article or an ad.
