A Hard Act To Follow
A Hard Act To Follow
To the Editor:
What a pleasure these last three years have been working with Tanjua Damon. We have had the good fortune of having many wonderful Bee reporters cover our agency and Tanjua certainly was special.
Tanjua met with our staff early on in her Newtown career. She wanted to be able to fully understand what our mission was to accurately report on the many Newtown Youth Servicesâ programs. Report she did. Tanjua became our contact person. She made certain we had coverage for an event even if it meant carrying over into personal time. Many times she graciously covered something for us despite her work load. Our weekly Newtown Bee column fell under her auspices.
Very simply put, Tanjua began as a reporter who became our friend. We will truly miss her candid offerings, her sense of humor, attention to detail, and her dedicated coverage. She will be a hard act to follow.
We at Newtown Youth Services wish Tanjua all the best as she ventures into the education world. Newtownâs loss will become some school districtâs great asset. We only hope her future students appreciate her as much as we do!
